Red Rock Wind supports Spirit Lake Partners in Education

Red Rock Wind Energy Center presented Spirit Lake Middle School and Elementary School Partners in Education (PIE) with donations totaling $1,000. Spirit Lake Elementary PIE is undergoing fundraising efforts to build an accessible playground for all students.

“It is important to us that we have a playground that is accessible and can meet the needs of all students,” said Jessica Vancura, Spirit Lake Elementary School Principal. “We greatly appreciate Invenergy and the Red Rock Wind Energy Center’s generosity in helping to make this a reality.”

“Red Rock is proud to support students and families in the Iowa Great Lakes area in any way we can, and we appreciate the meaningful work of Spirit Lake Partners in Education,” said project developer Joe Crowley. “Red Rock Wind would bring an estimated $60 million in additional revenue to school districts serving Dickinson County—which could mean more teachers, more resources, and more opportunity for all students in the county.”
